Program Coordinator

In anticipation of expanding our programming offering and support, CEED is recruiting a Program Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Innovation Programming, the Program Coordinator is responsible for providing program management and coordination support for a significant suite of programming involving multiple stakeholders. The Project Coordinator will be the main point of contact for all project reporting and will provide operational support to the project team.

CEED’s programming supports a diverse group of entrepreneurs with training and development opportunities from ideation, business modeling, and business planning to the scaling and growth phase. We require a ‘get-it-done’ attitude and the ability to work independently. If you are organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams and have skills in program development as well as program and stakeholder management, we want to hear from you.

Marketing and Engagement Coordinator in Halifax, NS

Job Description

The Marketing and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting entrepreneurship programs and communications across the organization and in our community. Within this role there will be a wide range of projects including internal communications, workshop facilitation, event management and innovative marketing campaigns. In this role, you should be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail.


  • Draft and edit communications (i.e., press releases, social media posts, blogs and e- newsletters)
  • Assist in developing and designing promotional materials and campaigns to support brand identity
  • Lead generation and business development activities such as emailing, prospecting, and handling email management systems such as Mail Chimp; and project management systems such as Microsoft projects/planner
  • Research and develop content in order to write summaries, blog posts, email campaigns, and social media content
  • Assist in monitoring active online marketing programs and developing ways to improve campaigns across social media platforms
  • Assist digital marketing areas such as social media marketing and management, SEO & website optimization
  • Conducting questionnaires with clients and prospective businesses to help business development
  • Leverage, highlight, and celebrate the accomplishments of CEED and its clients in innovative ways
  • Suggest ideas for experimental marketing programs designed to enhance the online presence
  • Coordinate event logistics including communication support
  • Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams
  • Update databases and track projects and media exposure
  • Facilitate effective internal communications
  • Co-develop and facilitate training, presentations, and reports

Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance & Administration, the Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for providing day-to-day administrative duties, weekly/monthly bookkeeping and providing administrative support to the team.

This individual will have excellent organizational and time-management skills, be a self-starter, and have experience using Microsoft 365. Attention to detail is a must.

The duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • General administrative duties
  • Organize and schedule meetings
  • Attend meetings and take detailed minutes
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Assist with event planning and execution
  • Provide administrative support to the team
  • Assist the Program Manager with KPI reporting
  • Manage and track all office equipment
  • Bank reconciliations – weekly
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable/Expense report processing
  • Provide month-end reports for finance
  • Adhoc administrative or bookkeeping duties as required

Program Advisor / Facilitator

In anticipation of expanding our programming and support, CEED is recruiting a Program Advisor/Facilitator to join our team.

If you are passionate about supporting and strengthening Canada’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, creating opportunities for new and existing entrepreneurs, and have an innovative and service mindset, we want to hear from you.

The Program Advisor / Facilitator is accountable for performing a range of counselling and support services to assist clients throughout the program lifecycle; from application, qualification, orientation and enrollment to the provision of support and guidance as the client progresses through programs. Additionally, the Program Advisor / Facilitator will facilitate experiential workshops aimed at developing entrepreneurial competency and venture development.

CEED’s programming supports a diverse group of entrepreneurs with venture development opportunities from ideation, business modelling, and business planning to scale and growth of established ventures.
