CEED’s Priyanka Kakkar Named One of Atlantic Canada’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Business
March 7th, 2025
Halifax, NS: CEED (Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development) is proud to announce that Priyanka Kakkar, Senior Manager of Engagement & Communications, has been named one of Atlantic Business Magazine’s 2025 Most Powerful Women in Business.
Atlantic Business Magazine announced its fifth annual list of Atlantic Canada’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Business last night during a gala event in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The program celebrates businesswomen of influence who live and work in Atlantic Canada. The finalists are all corporate builders and industry changemakers whose influence extends across the region — often around the world. They are also enthusiastic supporters and advocates, dedicated to making space for other women to find and embrace their personal strengths. Almost 200 nominations were received for this year’s competition.
Priyanka’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing CEED’s mission to support entrepreneurs across Canada, to build inclusive communities and to create opportunities for others to rise. Notably, she has been a driving force behind Leveling It Up, a national initiative that empowers diverse and underserved women entrepreneurs with the resources and skills they need to break barriers and achieve their business goals.
Her vision also played a key role in the development of The HubNS, an online community platform where entrepreneurs can connect, learn, and engage in meaningful conversations. Under Priyanka’s leadership, the CEED Elevate Mentorship Program has flourished —creating valuable relationships in support of local entrepreneurship.
“Priyanka’s unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive entrepreneurship and championing women in business is truly inspiring,” said Craig MacMullin, President & CEO of CEED. “Her leadership, vision, and impact have been instrumental in driving meaningful change, and we are incredibly proud to have her as a valued member of our team. This recognition is well deserved.”
