CEED Impact Report 2025–26
“Entrepreneurship is not just about starting businesses. It is about building possibility. Every entrepreneur who works with CEED brings ambition, courage, and the belief that something better can be built. Our role is to meet that ambition with practical support and a pathway forward.”
In 2025–26, CEED supported more than 500 women entrepreneurs through its core services, with the Leveling It Up program extending that reach to an additional 350 women entrepreneurs across Canada.
CEED continued to expand its geographic reach in 2025–26, with 21% of businesses assisted located outside HRM. Cape Breton experienced notable growth in engagement, and the Leveling It Up program supported women entrepreneurs across nine provinces and territories.
A total of 674 startups received support from CEED in 2025–26, including 31 entrepreneurs who successfully launched new businesses through the Self-Employment Program.
