Back in January 2009 siblings Heather and Christian Rankin hatched a plan to create something a little different in Halifax. A wine bar that was both informal yet special; social yet intimate. A neighbourhood place where people could go for an excellent glass of wine and something small, yet delicious to eat. Where service was real, engaged and unscripted. A nightspot with personality and heart.
What resulted in October 2010 was Obladee. A small, casual wine bar in the centre of Halifax’s downtown.
Our wine list is hand-selected, sometimes obscure, always interesting and ever-changing. Our food is small-batch, locally sourced wherever possible and always of the highest quality.
