Rany Ibrahim

Rany Ibrahim is a seasoned public sector executive, entrepreneur, and certified corporate director with more than two decades of leadership experience spanning government, business, and community development. Before joining the Nova Scotia public service, Rany successfully launched and managed entrepreneurial ventures, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges
and opportunities facing small businesses and innovators. He has served on several boards including the board of a community economic development authority and continues to champion inclusive, sustainable growth across the province. In his current senior executive roles with the public sector, Rany led initiatives in labour, immigration, skills, natural resources, and economic development and trade, advancing programs that strengthen Nova Scotia’s and Canada’s economic and social resilience. He also teaches graduate students at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Management, where his students include leaders from all three levels of government and the private sector across Canada and Globally. Rany’s contributions have been recognized through numerous national accolades, including the Top Canadian Immigrant Award and Leadership Hall of Fame. Rany brings to CEED a deep commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, empowering local communities, and bridging public policy with real-world business innovation.
