CEED After School Entrepreneurship Challenge invites participants aged 14 -18 to develop and sharpen their entrepreneurial skill set. This new 16-week pilot program is designed for youth who are looking for an opportunity to develop their ideas into viable business or community projects. Over this 16-week program, participants will explore entrepreneurship skills and concepts that foster success in any career path. Youth will receive the opportunity to pitch and showcase their innovative ideas, complete entrepreneurial challenges, and connect with local entrepreneurs.

In this program youth will:

  • Cultivate the mindset needed to plan and succeed
  • Apply design thinking to understand and address the problem
  • Actively conduct customer discovery and validation
  • Learn to understand and communicate your value proposition
  • Refine your business roadmap and ideas
  • Develop a dynamic business model
  • Learn tactics to manage your finances for profitability
  • Create a pitch or minimum viable product

The format:

This program consists of 13 facilitated workshops virtually and 3 weeks of participant-led interviews in which participants will test and validate their entrepreneurial ideas. Participants work in teams learning new tools, interviewing customers, running experiments and developing the business models with the support of program coaches. Each team works towards creating either a one of two projects, creating a full pitch demo video or creating a minimum viable product, which they will pitch during the program’s concluding Entrepreneurship Showcase.
