SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCES

If you’ve ever had a great idea for a product, a service or a business and thought “If only I could do that for a living,” – think again.

You can run your own business and we’re here to help every step of the way.

From CEED's Financing Program, where we deliver three small business loan products, to our new Self Employment Benefits Program, we’re devoted to providing support and guiding entrepreneurs as they make the leap from idea to reality.

CEED has a variety of resources and options available to you depending on what type of program best suits your lifestyle. No matter what your age or level of experience, we have something for you.

For the business professional, there is the Professional Development section. We offer a variety of workshops that will help you become a successful entrepreneur and answer any questions that you may have about the process. Our training is beneficial to many different groups.

Are you an aspiring young entrepreneur? Head on over to our Social Entrepreneurship section and learn about our exciting opportunities for youth. If you are a youth who has received or who’s parents have received income assistance, you may benefit from the Youth Employability Project. Have you been in conflict with the law and want to turn things around? Head on over to our Second Chance page. This program helps you plan for a brighter future while learning key entrepreneur skills.

Do you operate or wish to operate a small business? Visit our Small Business Resources section and find out either how to get started with or expand upon the success of your business. The CEED Financing Program offers loans under three different initiatives: the ACOA Seed Capital Program, CYBF and Students in Business. The Self Employment Benefits Program is a 40 week program in which you write up a business plan and attend several workshops. The end result is that you will have your business up and running by the time you have completed the program.
